Anyway. I am recovering a bit from post-series-completion drain. (Seriously, it’s hard to get going again after finishing a huge project like that.) Yesterday I started on the Three Jaguars Kickstarter crowd scene and got it almost done; I should be finished with it tonight. I also inked another comic page and uploaded it. So, good day for art, check! (Also, a lot of my doodles are ending up on my twitter stream. You can have a look on the left sidebar there.)
Having re-joined SFWA after long absence, I’m also offering them what expertise I’ve got, so yesterday I wrote a guest blog post on Kickstarter (which is pending approval right now) and I’m working on a Bulletin article about web serials.
Finally, last night I also started working on novel edits (hooray!). I have three novels that need editing before the middle of summer, so this will probably be my main activity for the next month or so.
In other arenas, I’ve got two audiobooks approved and heading for retail, “Anadi Dolls,” the Jokka short about Jekun, and Flight of the Godkin Griffin. “Unknowable,” the sequel to the award-winning “Unspeakable” is about ready for approval… and Even the Wingless just hit the production queue, so I’ll be getting chapters of that next (and hopefully not driving off the road while listening to them). The audiobook stuff is on-going, but it’s nice to see my catalog building. I just wish I had more time to vet them! My queue is honestly as narrow as the hours I have free to check them for errors.
Anyway! Today, the comic updated (as usual!). And we are $10 from our Earthrise episode tomorrow.
Finally, I noticed my name is a link in Wikipedia in this entry for the Gaylactic Spectrum Award nominees/winners. I know it’s a bit early, but what I would love to have for my birthday is my own Wikipedia entry! I’m mentioned in the space marine entry, but there’s no link. Sad jaguar is sad. >.>
That’s it for now. I’m hoping to get my office situation arranged so I can go back to the daily posts. Right now everything feels too unsettled.
