Three Jaguars has updated!

Actually it updated at 7 AM EST, but I don’t have social media ironed out over on that website so the tweet didn’t go out. For those of you who prefer it, there is an RSS feed; if you read on Livejournal, I just syndicated it there as mca-3jaguars. If your habit is just to check bookmarks, the comic will always be scheduled to go up at 7 AM EST (barring misfortunate), so you can check the site then.
Remember… donations in the cup over there go towards putting up Friday episodes! Who knows, if there’s enough money going in there I might start posting faster. (Yes, I did the calculations and know how many more comics I’d have to do and how much time I’d have to spend to go from 3-a-week to 5-a-week. So I know how much I’d have to make to recoup the time!)
Anyway. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours “rescuing” the original storylines I did on bad contracts and free publicity. Those were in storyboard form, but with some tweaking I got most of them onto the same format comic pages. I’ll have to redraw two or three, but doing that meant I got to save the art (some of which I really liked) and the storylines (which had good information in them).
I’ve got a countdown on my magnet board for the year of comic pages I have to draw for 2013. I am already whittling them away! I’ve done 34! 122 to go!

My last Kickstarter of the year has concluded at 348% funding. Come see the cartoon cats purring in celebration. :)
Now, just a little more fulfillment to do and I can rest for the year. *wipes brow* *dives back in*
3 Jaguars Backlog Done! (Now What!)

I’ve finished penciling and inking 25 pages; if I throw in the 5 pages I’ve already done (that are now buried on Livejournal), that will give me 30, a backlog of a little over two months at the 3x a week rate (assuming donations on the second month). These still need to be scanned and uploaded with dialogue, but the time-consuming part is finished.
Which means now I can do… something else. For the rest of the year! I suspect I will work on the Ai-Naidari guidebook for a bit. Or go to work on Bloom. Or both! I have Godkin edits due, too, but I haven’t signed the contract on those, which means the due dates aren’t set yet. Those shouldn’t take me more than two days, though, once I get started. Scheduling the art’s going to be the hard part.
*checks 2012 to-do board* Yes, I think that’s most of what I have planned, other than miscellanea like “try out podcasting” and “formally launch Black Blossom.” Oh, and Kickstarter fulfillment. And the Earthrise stuff. And approve the Rosary audiobook chapters as they come in…
You know, business as usual. -_-

The Kickstarter is now 247% funded! We cracked the $1000 mark before I even figured out what to offer as a $1000 incentive…! O_O
Suggestions on that are welcome? O_O
I also spent some time last night setting up the Three Jaguars website. I’m still debating some of the minor design choices, but I’m more or less happy with it. While I’m debating, what kind of pages do you like to see on comics sites? I’m taking notes from some of my favorites, but I’d love to hear your ideas (I see “Cast” is common, as is “Contact”…).
Anyway. Today’s my last work-day for a week, thanks to the holiday vacation. I’ll be using it to re-read Pearl in the Void! Which, frankly, is more of a vacation than work. Maybe I should read it in the hot tub at the clubhouse… look for photos on twitter. ;)

By the time I’d gone to bed we were 118% funded; this morning it’s more like 153%! Thank you all! We have thirteen days to go, but no matter what happens, I’ll be able to float the expenses for the web comic. As Marketer says up there: squee!
Also of interest today: I was invited to do a Reddit Ask Me Anything, so in accordance with schedule, I have shown up! I’ll be answering questions there throughout the day, if any pop up. :)
Otherwise… business as usual! *gets to it*

Who wants a 3 Jaguars web comic for a year! Who wants fabulous prizes like comic cameos, original art and full-page advertisements (drawn by me!) in which Marketer talks about your awesome stuff! Who wants fun and silly and coffee, chocolate and business principles illustrated by fluffy jaguars who sometimes cuddle as fan service?

3 Jaguars Web Comic Kickstarter Impending!

I have sent my 3 Jaguars Kickstarter out for approval by the Kickstarter folks; hopefully by next week I’ll hear back from them that it’s good to go and I can launch that project.
Assuming everything goes well, then, keep an eye out for that project to launch within the next week and a half. It’s only going to be running for two weeks, but all I’m looking to raise is $450. Prizes include things like postcards and original arts, as well as web comic cameos and “brought to you by” sponsorship pages (in case you want to advertise your family-friendly/appropriate/inoffensive products/business through me!).
